On the first of November 2011, the deputy of the Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ) Yasuhiro Sonoda drank a glass of water taken from reactors 5 and 6 of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant. The act was committed in front of the inhabitants of a packed press room, with journalists from all over the world ready to immortalize the scenic act. It was truly a performance, with many empty glasses raised at the conclusion of the undertaking. Like Drinking a Glass of Water reflects on the sense of mystification that this gesture brings with it and works on two levels of interaction, the first, directed towards the viewer, and the second, that of the radioactive values arriving in real-time from the site of Fukushima.
